This species is known in Iran as Baneh, Ban and Saqez. In places pistachio shell with an altitude of 1700 to 2200 meters above sea level, it is seen as a forest and scattered trees. The height of coriander trees is 1-10 meters and its diameter is 30-60 cm and it has 6-5 round and wide leaflets. The importance of coriander tree from horticultural point of view is that it is considered as a rootstock resistant to pistachio root-producing nematodes (Azmi, 1342; Abrishami, 1373; Sheibani et al., 1374 and Mohammadkhani, 1376).
Recognition of Pistacia khinjuk pistachio species
This species of wild pistachio tree in Iran, along with coriander trees, grows mostly in mountainous places and on lower and warmer slopes and heights. Khinjuk is a short tree with a height of 4-5 meters and has 2-3 asymmetric leaflets, which are located on the main petiole. The fruit of this tree is of the shaft type and is almost spherical (Sami et al., 2005).
